Can You Wear Sunscreen and Makeup?

Yes, you can! And, you should! Sunscreen should be a vital part of your morning routine because it helps protect your fragile skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Here are a few simple solutions to keep you protected while looking your best!

Apply Sunscreen Before Moisturizer and Makeup

After you shower, or have washed your face, apply an SPF of 30 or higher. Wait about 20 minutes, and then apply your moisturizer and makeup. This will ensure that the sunscreen stays effective and also prevents makeup from caking up.

Use a Tinted Sunscreen

In place of foundation, a tinted sunscreen will not only offer you protection from the sun, but it will also give you the look of freshly applied makeup due to its sheer tint.

Carry a Tinted Compact or Translucent Powder for Touch Ups

Keep translucent powder or a tinted compact in your purse with an SPF of 30 or higher and use it when you need a touch up throughout the day.

Remember, makeup that has an SPF is not going to give you enough protection so it is very important to apply a sunscreen and not just rely on your makeup for coverage.
